This is the best solution I have seen! New XM pricing (starting in April) includes On Line streaming for $9.99 a month for a year commitment. Works on any computer, too.

I can now use my Powerbook for hardware in lieu of taking the Sky-Fi in and out of the car. The Airport express is plugged into the RCA where the XM radio was. With Airfoil, you "hijack" the audio stream off the XM site and send it to the big rig wirelessly. No more plugging and unplugging. No more moving the SkyFi around. And no price upcharge if you are willing to commit for a year.

And Airfoil works with NPR, Windows Media, etc. Check it out yourself. XM has a free 3 day online trial. Airfoil has a demo version.

If I could just figure out VLC, I could do it with DVD's.

I never heard of airfoil. If only they had a similar program for the pc. Fortunately, I have dishnetwork which includes the Sirius music stations.

OT content: The powerbook can take the place of your XM tuner wirelessly through AEx, and now it wirelessly can take the place of your Home Theater almost. DVD solution to follow in due course. WMV works!

Fixed it for WMV and it works on my email video attachments, and the audio goes over my Airport Express.

Installed Airfoil and enhancements for Hijack capability. Installed VLC. Open both. Set the VLC preferences/audio/ make sure advanced is checked / audio desynchronization = -2347 [minus 2347]

Try it on WMV video? Control click your icon. You have to open the file with VLC and it is a little primitive on some files but it synchs up fine. DVD will be next on my list.
