XLR to 1/4" vs. 1/4" to 1/4" | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

My mic pre amp allows me to use an XLR type cable for the output. Right now I'm using a 1/4" -> 1/4" cable. Would I benefit from using a XLR to 1/4" instead? Thanks.

If I had the choice I would go with the XLR to 1/4 as XLRs are the more respected connector, although I doubt there would be any noticable difference between the two.

What's the length of cable run? Are you picking up noise over 1/4" cables?
