I've got recently Mytek Stereo96DAC. I use it with Denon AH-D2000.
Generally speaking sound of this combo is quite good but I sometimes feel it a little bit too dry and sometimes I hear sibilants (probably caused by bad recordings).

I thing I need new headamp :) (max 1000 EUR) and my questions are:

1. Do I loose some audio quality if I buy amp with RCA inputs only (I do not insist on balanced headphones output)?

2. What of this amps will match Mytek best (it is possible that I would buy another headphones to match this combo)? :

a) Violectric HPA V100 (by Lake People)
b) Rudistor RPX-33 DualMono (doesn't have XLR - not sure (p.1) )
c) LEHMANN AUDIO BLACK CUBE LINEAR PRO
d) SPL Auditor
e) Audio-GD ROC (with this I would use some balanced headphones (recabling my denon or another)

3. None of above - the build-in Mytek amp is similar quality. I mean that sonic difference would be very subtle and not worth 1000 EUR

4. Different amp for <= 1000 EUR

BTW I'm interested only in SS amps

one very good choice could be the Violectric v100
but one excellent choice would the Qes Labs HPBA-2 balanced headphone amp.
You can find my review in this section and the cost
of the amp would fit your budget.

The only problem with this amp is fact that it is designed ONLY for high impedance headphones.
Frankly speaking I'm torn between Violectric v100 and Audio-gd ROC.

Is ROC good with XLR connections (DAC-ROC)? Does anyone have heard ROC with such studio DACs like Lavry, Benchmark or Mytek? What can I expect from such combination (having balanced headphones)?
Wouldn't it be too dry/analitic?
