Hi folks, I recently bought a Xingcore AF200, updated the newest firmware from Xingcore, and installled the USB driver on my music Windows PC.

For optical and coaxial outputs, there are no problems. Foobar 2k sings flawlessly after changing output to Asio/Wasapi Xingcore usb device). Also works with a dual PC Jplay Femto system. Sound imaging and sound stage both are superp.

But only hiss and noise coming from I2S although I have configured exactly the same as @b0bb instructed in the other thread (see the attached picture). I use 2 short hdmi cables (one Sony brand and one Pangea) that work well in watching movies for months and years. My DAC is Gustard X16. In fact before AF200 I use another DDC to connect my Windows PC to IIS port of Gustard X16 without any problem, and that was why I step up to AF200.

Could you have any advice about configuring for the IIS port to sing? Thanks

Make sure Foobar audio sampling rate is 384kHz or less, the display on the AF-200 will tell you.
X16 cannot handle anything higher than 384kHz.
AF-200 goes up to 1536kHz.

You need to check the connection to the X16
On X16 Pins 13,14,16 must not be connected to anything, check on the AF200 config tool to see if there is a No-connect setting

Pin15 is the PCM/DSD indicator

Pin17 on the X16 must be grounded but the AF200 is No-Connect --> This could be a problem as you cannot change it.

Pin18 on X16 is No-Connect, check your AF-200 is not putting 3.3V on the pin

Thank you @b0bb . The config tools of AF200 can't change pin 17; 15 can be changed to DSD; 13, 14, and 16 can be changed either but there are no option "NC" to be changed to !!?

It was my mistake not to view these things before purchasing. Buy the way, previously I used the one in the below link 1. Its pins are shown in that link. Could you please take a look? For my current situation, will buying the other type of IIS cable (see link 2, which says something about Plan 1 and Plan 2) help ? Thank you very much.

If the previous DDC works for you, keep it.
AF200 is not giving you any additional audio capabilities on the X16.
Cable in Link 2 looks like a custom job for a specific purpose, it will not solve your issue with the AF200.

After sometime I could set up pinouts of AF200 exactly the same as Gustard X16. Sweet sound comes. But DSD is converted to PCM in the DAC though both the control point (Android Phone with Mconnect) and AF200 shows DSD. Anyhow I stop trying and just listen to great music now.

@chauphuong Please try the below configurations, works well on my Gustard A18 MQA ver.
I wish they put a setting for auto-off display, brightness setting in it.
Edit- I am using Daphile with everything upsampled to DSD256, A18 is in DSD Direct mode. Pins 13, 14, 16 don't matter in Gustard config.
Hope this helps.

AF200 latest firmware

Thank you. I already did that before without success. Dsd shown in Xingcore but Pcm shown in DA (Gustarc X16). Gave up the fight.

@chauphuong Bummer! I have an X16 too. Let me try it out and get back to you within a couple of days. Thanks.

Edit - Replaced A18 with X16
Tried with both modes in Daphile
1. Upsample all to dsd256
2. Play at native bit rate

AF200 works flawlessly in my setup .
Did you update AF200 to latest firmware and try?
Last pic shows X16 firmware revision.

I received this Af200 in mid Oct and updated the most recent firmware 3.9 (of that time) then no DSD. Now thanks to you I see the latest one which is 3.12. It works like a charm. Thanks a lot.

Now DSD works well with Af200 but next comes another mess @meprateek . Playing DSD, then when coming back to PCM, X16 just can't detect PCM signals and in X16, DSD still shows. Then a lot of hiss and noises when playing PCM. Turning X16 on and off several times and the problem remains. This is a problem of AF200, because when I use usb port of X16, things turns to normal, playing ok with both DSD and PCM.

By the way, do you know where to find firmwares of X16? Mine is the same as you out of the box. The only site having X16 stuffs is Shenzenaudio but it does not have X16 firmware but usb drivers.

@chauphuong Try changing the type c cable between af200 and the pc/streamer.

If nothing works, then x16 firmware update should be tried. Files and flashing methods attached. It is to be done at your own risk.😉

Quick question about USB Audio Configuration software for AF200.

I saw that very first tab on the left should be called "USB Descriptor" and just wondering if they're actually allowing customers to modify the values of both VID and PID respectively?

They also made another model U30 for DIY users, and it's definitely providing such options as mentioned above

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001693708470.html
You can also write VID and PID and device strings arbitrarily to adapt to any standard USB2.0 audio driver.

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=605346539299
还可任意写入VID与PID以及设备字符串,从而适配任何标准USB2.0音频驱动程序。

FYI - there's this USB driver written specifically for Singxer F1

http://www.myav.com.tw/bbs/showthread.php?threadid=20459807

Therefore I'd like to change the values of both VID and PID so that's pretty much "pretending" to be Singxer F1 while the driver could be installed successfully.
