Xfi Elite Pro vs. Meridian/Prelude

Actually, That is LM4562NA used in the front channels and the rest of the channels use 4580's which are generic "jellybean" amps. The RMAA specs look pretty sweet though, I will admit.

MA -Surface mount
NA -DIP8

actually I think its the MA as its surface mount. Plus, it says so on the chip

unfortunately, it doesn't and its a shame as it would have made things a lot more fun. However, I am glad they fitted it with a good OPA like the 4562.

I have tested teh X-meridian and the Elite PRO. I still has the elite pro so... Really I thought it offered better sound quality even though they are definiatly in the same league. Switching op amps on the Meridian helped but the Elite PRO was still a bit cleaner and sounded better in audio creation mode.

So yes I think it´s Prelude or Xonar rather then X-meridian that competes against the Elite PRO.
