Just for information: I recently tried to get crash course in movie players for windows. I installed over 10 players (not simultaneously) including BSplayer, MV2Player etc. and not a single one was able to play the movie and display the subtitles in Bulgarian (cyrillic). Xine (linux) does it all with applomb and doesn't crash on every second occasion.

On the question about the WM's I've tried them all and seem to like fluxbox/blackbox best. My system is also Linux From Scratch and although I switch off the computer haven't had a single crash on any application - AbiWord, Gnumeric, Xine, Galeon, Scribus, Inkscape, Gimp etc.

Well, this seems rather hmmm... funny. The core of linux is not that different in different distros. RH have several applications of their own, but that's it.
