OPA627 is good, I'm tried it on my Aroma Audio A100TB amp, soundstage is super wide. However, it's a single channel opamp & might not work on Xduoo XD05 Pro.
Tried many op-amps, but I still prefer HA-8802 got that kind of analog tube sound, super nice for female vocals.

HA-8802 comes with the tools...very nice...

If you feel it's good & still wanna upgrade the sound better, can use this Ufeel buffer (buy the highest grade one 902AG) & all & all still can fit inside the chassis of Xduoo XD05 Pro. Personally, I myself dun like to install op-amps and the door of XD05 Pro can't close.

Leaving the door open is indeed weird. When I first got the sparkos. I was like, damn 2mm away. What. Then I managed to figure out how to fit it in. Phew.

Really helpful, thank you. I'm still trying to find a way of sourcing the buffers, but they look an interesting idea.

In another off topic, got this little brother today to complement the XD05 Pro.

First impressions - quite impressed by the sound and the power, this thing packs quite a punch ! It comes with 2x the portable variant of the same ESS DAC that the big brother has - Dual ES9039Q2M. Works with iPhone 15 Pro both Bluetooth and wired !

I needed to try another portable dongle for use while commuting and this one so far seems to fit the role.

I just ordered also an ES9039Pro DAP !

Not all ESS sounds the same in different devices, it's their implementation.
Kann Ultra is no match compared to Xduoo XD05 Pro that you had imo.

I know but there's still a DAC sound signature which is quite consistent no matter who implements it. I have so many DAPs and DACs that proves that already.
Anyways I always wanted to try an A&K DAP, was never a fan of them for many reasons. Let's see how this one holds up, got a good deal for it too.

I just ordered this from Ufeel official Taobao store 4 pcs to install on my Aroma Audio A100TB amp with Burson V5iD fitted on top of the buffer. They mentioned that this buffers makes the sound more thicker and more dynamic.
Think this will fit on Xduoo XD05 Pro as well.

I guess that you chose mk8 because mk9 will not fit in the amp chamber?
mk9 looks much bigger than sparkos 3602.

AK stuffs are well made. But nowadays are getting more and more expensive.

I believe mk9 buffer will fit in Xduoo XD05 Pro. But I bought it to put inside my Aroma Audio A100TB amp (Burson V5iD with mk8 buffer), the space are very limited.

Yes, MK9 buffer is too big to fit in, might not even fit in Xduoo XD05 Pro.
