Maybe, if they want to beat them they have to be cheaper, and Fiio Q7 is $700.
i have xduoo desktop hybrid ta-22. want some small dac/amp from xduoo. does good upgrade to xd05 bal or xd05 plus nowadays?

Someone told me xDuoo said at a japanese meeting that the XD-05 PRO will be released in May... Still no word about the price.
decided not see more to portable dacs for my desktop immeddiatly, afer tried new tungsol 12au7w tubes on my xduoo ta-22 vs stock tubes,with focal stellia headphones. end game. no any portable can match this sound...no any EQ needed or tried. Dot

Sound is much better on this tubes or just better match with Stellia?
sound much better with new tubes vs stock.never look back to stock cheap tubes. also with good headphones feel difference.

now want buy bright sounding tubes ecc82 for my xduoo ta-22
i have focal stellia headphones.not need big power to drive,so maybe xd05 bal or xd05 basic v2 with new ess chip es9018k2m is bestter or see at xd05 plus? but i like neutral sound from ESS chip vs warm from AK chip.

Really? I hope Xduoo will have success with the XD05Pro, but I don’t expect many to sell. Maybe in a few years we will see this come down in price. Most of us will likely only be able to live vicariously through those who can purchase.
That's around €800 or so. I'd expect a little more with duties / taxes e.t.c.
If it's in the same price range as the Fiio Q7 and Shanling H7, then I think it will offer an interesting alternative. The op amp rolling in the XD-05 range can make a significant different to the sound quality / performance. Add to that the option to change DACs (for a fee, I'm sure), and the PRO seems to offer something unique. I'm looking forward to its arrival. My finances aren't!
can swap chip on xd05pro? what is STOCK main chip inSIDE?

Oh, I agree that it is a fascinating product with unique features! My issue with it (besides its size) is the price, which I think will limit its sales. But as I mentioned, I really hope it does well, and one day it comes down in price. In the meantime, I hope others buy it and share their experience with it!
