Also got this 12V 2A USB-C charger which is working properly in all modes with XD05PRO. From Aliexpress for 5€ but I still prefer listening from internal battery, because of better SQ. Still searching for some better option to use with EXT mode, because all chargers that I tried affecting sound quality and signature in very minimal way, but I still hear that difference and don't like it.

Yes XDUOO told me to reinstall the DAC card and fixed the problem permanently for me.Got the message on XD05PRO screen "PROTECT" for a single time just in time when was switching from BAT to EXT mode. Has anyone seen anything like this?
I made the experience with the Meze 109 Pro using the Hifiman EF600 ("... Output power: up to 5120mW per channel (balanced) / up to 1800mW per channel (unbalanced) ...") that i can run them both balanced and unbalanced and sounding great because the Meze 109 Pro do not need much power to be driven. and this Xduoo is very powerful, allowing you to drive pretty much any headphones with it.Yes, Single eneded output is really good and powerful here in my opininion!
did you have to add the other op-amps when purchasing the XD-05 pro or do they come with it by default? For now I try the V5iD.
Below are the various stages of assembly and disassembly of the components.

2 types of OP-AMPs are supplied as standard (of excellent quality), one type mounted and the other is present in the box.
If you want to try others you have to buy them.
EDIT:
The OP-AMPs as standard

I also think that the battery is the best, but I have the impression that even with a regular power supply it is better than with a charger. There's a linear power supply on its way to me - we'll see. Also got this 12V 2A USB-C charger which is working properly in all modes with XD05PRO. Nice. Let me know how it works with linear power supply when you get itI also think that the battery is the best, but I have the impression that even with a regular power supply it is better than with a charger. There's a linear power supply on its way to me - we'll see.
I am also thinking to get linear power supply with additional usb-c GX16 2pin cables from Aliexpress:

When I tested connected to 12V 2A charger in EXT mode (TURBO gain) with 4.4mm balanced Audeze LCD-X, Focal Clear and HD650 headphones, power consumption was only beetween 12V 400-500mA, it doesn't even reach 1A. I don't think it will ever need full 2A power @ 12V.That one is 1.8a I thought the specs ask for great than 2A ?

Just tested the XD05PRO with external PS !
The items are :
ISOL-8 miniSUB
ISOLink Ultra PW cable
KESES P3 Power Supply
Belden DC cable
Very very good sound i got from this little monster...
Rhom DAC + Sparkos
In about a week will test with QLS 12V Battery PS !!
That would be supper interesting as "Movable" setup.

I have a question: does DAC module need some time to burn-in? I found info that OPAMPs like Burson V5i-D really benefit from 150+ hours of burn-in, but how about DAC?
P.S. there are some more my personal impressions made today in comparison of ESS9039 vs ROHM
