I have an Xcan V1 I purchaed in 1997.  I recently put it back into service with a set of Sovtek 6922  tubes and the original power supply. I also have a Little pinkie V2 that just developed issues. I listen to my music via the PC through a HRT Music Streamer II DAC and Sennheiser HD650 cans. I only play back FLAC files. The music sounds pretty good.  What would I gain with upgrading the Xcan. Or would it not be worth the effort to upgrade and just get a new amp.
Thanks
John

The original X-Can is a lovely sounding amp specially with the PinkFloyd Mods and a Little Pinkie PSU. Personally I prefer the JAN 6922 but the sound can also be "tweaked" by rolling op-amps. The original X-Can was the only one of the series to  use op-amps like the OPA 2227.
