I would sell my iPod to anyone in half a second if the X5 had a tag database instead of browsing by file structure. There were rumers of a firmware update a couple months ago, but I havn't really seen anything. Should I expect this or continue my search for the perfect player?

While I can totally understand where you're coming from, for me, the issue of tags is much less a factor than I might've thought it to be.

If you listen primarily to downloads of singles that you get off of filesharing or something more in that sense- then I think that tagging becomes very important. But if you're primarily listening to albums then it is much less an issue...

If i remember correctly, cowon said so themselves but didnt say when.

An official firmware (not beta) is also due at the end of september so maybe wait a bit?
