Fiio customer support tells me that the next X3 update will support folder.jpg/cover.jpg.
Most of my stuff is wma lossless or flac and album art doesn't appear, is there any mechanism to notify users when updates become available?

Have you tried the latest firmware version 3.24? It supports folder.jpg/cover.jpg. :)

Hi Joe,

Done that, it's fixed all the wma lossless files but still no art on the more recent FLAC files, these were ripped using Fairstars CD Ripper.
I don't know if fairstars uses same graphics format.
Thanks for that so far, problem mainly fixed as most of my stuff is in WMA from a Sony X walkman.

I'd be grateful if you have any more ideas.

Best regards

Well, you could open the album folder and tell me what extension the folder art file has--jpg, png, ???

Best regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Just had a look and it seems there is no album art present in the FairStars rip which of course would account for it.
Can you suggest a ripper that does FLAC and album art without the complexity of foobar?

Regards

Hello dimitri456,

All you need to do is to obtain a picture of the album cover, rename it to "cover.jpg" and save it in the same album folder as the songs. :)

Best regards,
Joe
