Which one should I get? The x mini 2 or x mini max? Or should I get two mini 2's and combine them?

xminimax

the speakers of xminimax is just an xmini I with magnetic base.
the xmini II is an improvement of xmini I. even with the improvements they made, i don't think that xmini II is as good as 2 xmini Is (or xminimax).

xminimax is 2 speakers with stereo sound.
combining 2 xmini IIs is just like having 2 speakers but both mono sound.

since the X-mini II is an improved version with better sound you should get that, i just bought it myself and i decided i only wanted one because 2 was a bit expensive and for portable use stereo isn't so important. but if you want to use it with laptop or something you should get 2.
