Hello.
I have a X-Meridian 2G for couple of days and I notice some strange behaviour. I'm using Windows 7 64bit, Foobar 2000 1.1.10 with latest add-ons. Soundcard configuration is 6 CH input, 6CH output from the CMedia driver panel. Using 5.1 PC speakers.
Problem is:
- When using WASAPI and Kernel Streaming, music is played as surround from the speakers, not as stereo. 5.1 surround expanding plugin is NOT enabled.
- When using ASIO, global Windows volume control does not have any effect, other streams cannot be played (when foobar is playing, youtube and etc. sounds are blocked).
- When Direct Sound: Primary sound driver is enabled, there are some random volume ups and downs when using resamplers (same as WASAPI and KS)
- When Direct Sound: X-Meridian 2G is selected, everything seems to be working.
So this card is bugging me and I don't know how to make it work flawlessly as my Prelude did.
Does anyone have the same problems?
Is the resampler causing when 24/96 output is selected the 16/44.1 media cannot be run simultaneously?
Other than that, the card sounds great even with stock OpAmps.
