Hey guys, I just have a quick question regarding my current setup. I currently have Klipsch iFi's hooked up to an X-fi, with the volume set at around 80% master and 100% in winamp/foobar. However, I have been noticing extreme distortion in the high range when playing music, so I was wondering if this would be considered normal and what the ideal range for volume settings might be.

Maybe you just get too high output level w/ master level set to 80%.
Is there a Wave source option on X-Fi mixer (like there is in Audigy software)?

Also, try w/ ASIO (or KernelStreaming) device diver modes.
