hey guys new here
um i recently bought sennheiser 201's for my ipod.
n they're great quality and the sound is AWESOME [if a lil quiet]
but my one problem with em is that the cable is 3m long....
and it gets awfully tangled up when i carry it around school n stuff.
so

any advice on how to keep the rebel cable under control??

You should really reterminate.

Looking at that cable turtle I can see two issues.
1 - Winding your cable up like that put's nasty stresses on the internals of the wire. I suppose if you only did it once then it wouldn't be so bad.

2 - Wrapping it up like that 'can' cause an increase in inductance which will effect your sound most likely for the worse.

Reterminating has the benefit of getting the cable length custom to you and your use and secondly cuts out unneccessary cable which reduces resistance and shortens the signal path, both of which are good things (albeit whether it's noticeable is another discussion).

If you're comfortable with it, I'd reterminate as well. If you need it longer later on, make/buy an extension.

If you're not comfortable modifying it, just wrap it up with a cable tie.

if you don't want to pay for for the turtle.

Do what I use, and coil your cord into a circle (not too small), then wrap those plastic coil keychain things around it, and cut off the keychain parts. works great, and costs next to nothing, ill see about getting some pics when I take pics of my portable setup.
