I'm after a cheap desktop setup for work, but am being a little demanding. Although using Superlux HD681 Evo's at the moment, there is a chance I will upgrade to AT or AKGs later down the line.
I'm essentially after a cheap usb DAC amp combo complete with volume dial (not buttons!) suitable for my current 32ohm headphones. I'm currently running a cheap ELE-D02, it's way too loud for my headphones (currently running windows output at 1/100 because it's that loud :-o
Ideally available from amazon too, but not a must!
I've been looking at the Topping TP30 and VX, but with having a marantz 6004 hifi I'm thinking I'll like the cs4398 based stuff more, struggling to find a cheap cs4398 based solution though.
So yeah! Anymore suggestions!?
