Is it possible to make a MP3 player out of this:
I want to mod it into:
1. Use regular 3.5 inch hard drive instead of MMC/SD card.
2. Use STEPS as power supply.
3. Line-out only, make it possible to hook up your own amp.
4. Other mods to improve SQ.

This is obvious over my skill. Just let you guys know and someone might be interested in modding it.

wow the pre-assembled board is the same price as the kit

. Seems like a rather costly project if you don't end up getting it working

. I can see it costing the same as an ipod if the hard drives are expensive. I also dought that it would support many file types.

I don't think that will support anything other than MP3, as that's determined by decoder chip. but where do you get a 120GB ipod anyway?
