well, i was searching for a decent portable player with FLAC support, Big Capacity and Great sound quality.
the first thing come to my mind is IMOD!
however, RWA seems to be a bit expensive and distant from here.
i was googling it to see if anyone would want to sell it.
i actually have 1 ipod photo but never know how to mod it

Under serveral circumstance, i found that 1 of my friend do actually know how to mod! and his work is pretty neat as well, after serveral talks, he seems to be interested to do some small earning.
so i got him this:
iPod photo 4th Generation, Imod Service, UK audiophile on eBay (end time 18-Apr-10 14:40:32 BST)
Imod service in the UK!
i think that price is just quite pretty as well comparing to RWA,
with UK service! come on!

i just thought maybe someone in the uk would like a mod as well

i will definitly go for RWA even if the price is only third of RWA's...

Cheap. Is it actually the same thing?

N.B. Dazzer; it's called competition I guess.

I agree, the seller should not be using the Red Wine Audio or iMod reference either directly or implied. Now if he removed the reference then good for him, although he buyer would still need the iMod cable from a vendor like ALO.

Of course there's nowt wrong with competition.

There is though a dubious nature to a new member cropping up espousing the virtues of an ad that is a clear rip off of a sponsors product and good name.

Using the originators names and product name is no doubt illegal also.

The best competition though, in this case, is to search for the diymod thread on these forums and do the mod yaself.

Would be very interested to hear from anyone having this done.

four tips for doing the mod successfully yourself:

Read the diymod thread as many times as ya need, payign close attention to everything thats is said, then focusing in on the particular model your interesting in diymodding and ask any questions you need to.

Get the smallest pointiest soldering iron tip you can find. (less of an issue if not soldering directly to the chip itself)

Use good lighting to see what you're doing

Use good magnification to see what you're doing.
