Would you recommend Half-Life and/or Half-Life 2?

OK, I'll do it tomorrow, I promise.
It's quite late here.

What tracks need testing?

All the songs from the Half-Life 2 soundtrack, all the songs from the Half-Life 2: Episode One soundtrack, and all the songs from the Half-Life 2: Episode Two soundtrack. Thanks.

Here are the results.
Notice that HL2, E1 and E2 use the same music from HL2 and HL2 uses some songs from HL1.
I only tested HL2 songs.
Also, the year isn't 1997, it0s more like 2004

.
I thought of typing 1997-2004 as it was generally the time when HL2 was in making.

Thank you. These results are very informative. This wasn't too much hard work figuring out how to do this I hope.

I'd play Half-Life 2 but not Half-Life 1. Instead play Black Mesa which is nearly exactly the same thing but free and made for the newer engine.

Welcome to head-fi. Black Mesa was already recommended in this thread but I decided that it wasn't for me as the vast majority of the songs in the soundtrack have bad dynamic range.
