would the UE iphone cable fit other IEMs with the same inlet? | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Hoping to get the iphone soon and my concern is cos the prongs on the UE cables are recessed so i'm not sure if it'd fit or work at all with other IEMs with the same jacks like westone/freqs etc?

The pins on the UE universal cables are something like .05mm thinner (.7mm vs .75mm IIRC) than the pins used in the UE and other custom IEMs. It will probably fall out. However, if you have a solder iron handy you could probably carefully tin the pins make them fit.
