Would the Fiio E7/E9 work well with the SR-225i?

Do the SR-225i's even need an AMP/DAC? would it be a big difference with the E7/E9?
Is it not worth it? or do you recommend a better AMP/DAC? (200$ and below)

I'm not best qualified to answer but since no one else has offered any advice I'll give mine based on SR80i ownership.
 
You definitely don't need the E9.  E7 would do fine amp wise.  E10 is meant to be better and E17 better again plus is portable like E7.  Depends on your source too. For an Ipod I found the little Fiio E1 to be just as effective as the E7 amp as you are not using the DAC anyway.
 
These are my thoughts anyway.
