Would a benchmark DAC2 be an upgrade to HDVD800's DAC section

As the question states. I was wondering if anyone tried connecting a benchmark DAC2 to the HDVA600 or HDVD800 (Bypassing DAC section via XLR input if that is possible?). Would there be an improvement?
