I currently own a Audio GD 19DSP.
 
There is a audible difference that could justify to spend $2000 on a new DAC ?
 
I have made a list of recurring DAC.

I will have a balanced headphone amp.
There is a audible between RCA and balanced XLR ? Could be a criteria to eliminate some DAC ?
 
It will be hard to tell which DAC of my list is better than another. Could more interesting to know the strength of each.
