Promising. The study was not very long though, so I'm interested in seeing if these results can be replicated and what method they are using to avoid genetic auto-corrective and auto-immune complications.

Not surprising since China was the one with the first ever Crispr baby. I wonder what ever happened to her. She disappeared when news released on the successful genetic engineering and the world went into a furor.

Great that kids got their hearing back but that was from a deficiency mutation. Likely not going to work on regular folks.

Still pretty amazing how quickly we're getting to real world gene therapy.

I want to believe, but this stuff usually disappears and you never hear about it again, like that story about changing your body's T-cells to target tumors which would in theory cure cancer. Either the press misunderstands and overhypes the science, or there's too much regulatory BS for the findings to translate into actual medical solutions. Still, if not in a few years then maybe a few decades.

I've always said the first healing factor humans will be unaware cancer patients who are given a serum that mutates said cancer into a full blown healing power. Considering that when Deadpool had the wonky cloned Wolverine healing factor removed his Cancer went into overdrive and took over, Allowing him to quickly regrow from just his hand.
