Hey everyone,

I've been trying to use the search to find a good answer, but no luck so far.

I was wondering if the Little Dot I+ Hybrid tube/SS amp would be worthwhile for either the D2000/D5000?

I currently have the D2000s and was looking to upgrade to the D5000s / amp, but I'm having trouble keeping the cost down haha.

Any help is appreciated!

I have a Little Dot I+ coming in and I'm extremely excited for it. I'm sure its a great value and definitely a worthwhile investment in your audio enjoyment. And if I'm not mistaken, the D2000 are low impedence cans, which the Little Dot I+ is very good with.

I have a Millet Hybrid amp that I used with my previous cans, a modded pair of D2000s. Hybrids are AWESOME. Yes, you should absolutely get one. I'm pretty sure I saw the Millet Hybrid Minimax on the FS forums here last night.

The Millet Hybrid amp seems to be out of my price range.. The LD I+ was more attractive to me at ~$150 shipped...

Does anyone have experience with the LD I+?

I guess ultimately, is it going to be better than having no amp at all? Or would I be wasting money when pairing up a LD I+ with D2000/D5000.

Thanks again!

That seems to be a tube amp, rather than a SS or hybrid, if I'm not mistaken? I thought it is suggested to get at least a hybrid or full SS for D2000s or D5000s?

It's a Millet Starving Student, a VERY well known hybrid amp around here. Tube gain stage, MOSFET follower. One of the most highly regarded budget amps out there.
