Unbox Therapy seems to have a set of HE-350s. While this video doesn't review them, it does show that there have been review samples sent out.

Can't wait to see some preliminary reviews.

Call me crazy but I just joined the Drop :D I have no idea what to expect over using Sound Blaster Z and Philips Fidelio X1 but at the price I thought why not.
I will need to buy a longer cable though, any recommendation? 3m cable this ships with only 1.5m

hey would recommend these over shure srh-440 is it that good that i could ignore the fact these are open back and would have no noise isolation?

Do you need noise isolation? Or are you primarily listening to these in more private environments such as an office space or at home?
If you plan on being on say public transportation, the 440s are better. However, I love openbacks for their soundstage and imaging. I'm not quite sure that the 440s would replicate this as well as these HifiMAN.

Am I the only one excited to see how the RE-00 will compare to the updated Vsonic VSD3S and/or the Zero Audio Carbo Tenore?
Oh that'd be a fun comparison...

Anyone have any idea how the HE-350 compares to the AKG K612 Pro? I really like the AKG's, flat, but with great bass extension. I don't really know if the HifiMan will be an upgrade...

Well I don't think very many people are going to have a HE350 handy right now to give a conclusive answer, but my half-educated guess is that:
- The HE350 will have deeper, possibly more pronounced bass than the K612,
- The HE350 will have smoother mids and highs than the K612's sometimes splashy/piercing upper frequencies
- Hifiman's more standard headphone design would fit more heads (K612 kind of sagged on my head when I demoed)
- Detachable cable on HE350 would provide more assurance in durability and/or options for aftermarket cables than K612 with its non-detachable cable
Other than that, I'd imagine everything else would be anyone's guess right now.
Also note these are just guesses based on what I know about Hifiman's HE series and my demo of the K612. What I say may be far from the final truth.
Just one last 2 cents, if you like the K612 as it is, you may not really need to get the HE350. That'd save you a hundred bucks.

As curious as I am about it, and the price especially looks nice, I'd rather put $100 toward a pair of planar headphones. At least, I'll wait until I see more information.... of course by then it'll be too late lol.
