Hello Everyone -
I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770s - 600 Ohm.
Currently, I'm using these with a Pico DAC and a Headamp AE-2 portable amp.
I've ordered a Woo Audio WA6 (stock), which should arrive by December 10th. So - I'm interested in hearing from any WA6 owners (especially those using the 600 Ohm DT770s). I'd like to know what DACs you're using in your setups.
My concern is that the Pico is an outstanding portable source; but, it won't give me the best synergy as a source for the Woo.
Should I really be thinking ahead about a DAC upgrade? (I should note that my DAC upgrade budget is limited to about $500 or less.)
I've read some great things about the V-DAC (with DPS), and the VDA-2. I do like that either of those options would allow me to use spdif; I don't have this option with the Pico.
