Bad battery? Did you try to switch from 3 tube to 2 tube mode and back to see if the switch somehow isn't fully engaged?

No. Turn off the power normally and switch mod.

I'd toggle the mode switch personally. There shouldn't be a difference between plugged in or on battery when it comes to tubes used. Make sure you are using the included power supply. Anything else may cause weird behavior. I found that out.

I have been looking for a transportable tube option for a little while now and recently decided to go with the WA8. One of my favorite headphones is the ZMF Caldera (open). Anyone here using these two together? Any pad recommendations for a good match?
