Woo Audio WA23.....

ok ... again... how does the tm300b sound? what is special about it? what amp have you heard it in? how does an amp running the tm300b compare to the wa23 or wa33/wa33e?????
Until you've heard a 300B and notably the WE300B, you won't have a baseline to start. The TM300B as with the other Elrogs are the antithesis to the 300B, however,
they have noticeably more drive and extension through the spectrum with more detail and precision.
I've heard many 300B amps and use a full tube chain switching between the 45 depending on what headphone is being driven.

There is a 300B thread if you entertain that path.

explain.

have you heard it?

what's shocking about Stellaris?

compare Stellaris to 23 or 33?

Stellaris can be too colored for some people. I liked Donald's sound signature on Focals, but they're not gonna rock someone else's world when listening to genre that needs a lot of energy/rawness/crunchiness when a track calls for it rather than composure and refinement and the minimal amount of crunch which are DNA house sound trademark

I have an Aficionado with 2A3s. It provides energy, crunch and extremely raw sounds when called for. I absolutely love this amp. I haven't heard the DNA's or the Woo 23, but can tell you that with the right tube compliment I get incredible saturation, resolution and grit out of my Aficionado. It is extremely fast and flat out rocks hard. I use a Metal Base GZ-34, RCA Single Plates or Ken Rad 1943 Black Glass 2A3s, and the WE396a. The 2A3 is much cleaner sounding to my ears. I haven't heard a ton of 300B amps, but have heard a few and while I like them I see no need to change. I love the 2A3 tube, and my Aficionado. the WA23 looks beautiful, but I didn't try it at Canjam in Dallas. I didn't go into the Woo room.

Been living with Stradi 2a3, and with others on hand. The KR5u4g and two we drivers 417A. Kinda rolled off on top with more mid and low strength. I'd say if you like silk dome tweeters may interest. Warmer sound but change to EML or RCA more linear. Great with HD800s.
Great with everything actually 🫡. Both WA23 and WA5 LE/wUpgrade together and no favorite yet. I doubt there will be.

Cant wait on CanJam NYC si I can demo the WA23 and finally decide on it. Is that an ABYSS MR? And an 800s? Those are the headphones I plan to use for the WA23. And ofc my Susvara

Cross posting here from the Susvara thread because I am super excited to join the ranks of WA23 owners.

This amp is phenomenal already with the Susvara. Running the Wandla in bypass gives this thing enough juice that I can be at low gain on high impedance with the volume pot set to about 1PM for my regular listening. Low impedance I have to turn the knob up a bit more to like 2-3pm.

I’ve only been listening for the last couple hours so far, so I’ve got quite a bit of time before it breaks in.

Just saw your post on the book of many faces lol. We have many similar stuff like the Ferrum stack, the Sus, even have the Questyle M15 too! I will really need to demo this soon.

That’s awesome! You definitely need to hear this with the Susvara. I was worried I would not get the same amount of dynamic impact from the WA23 as I did with the Oor, but that was QUICKLY proven wrong. The Ferrum Oor might just become irrelevant with this amp now!

You can't go wrong with any of them, but I'm predicting 465 would probably take the cake
