Guys. I actually really like these 6SN7 GTA (chrome foil. NOS. Sylvania)
They are actually most currently the stock tubes that come with the amp, they are actually pretty good. Airy, detailed and warm. Lean more towards the warm/neutral side of things. I’m gonna put some hrs on these.

Success!

6336B working in my amp.
I did 3 sessions over the weekend with these power tubes.
3.5, 4.5 and 6 hours.

Amp and transformers got warm. Not hot.

Sound was the best power tube I have heard in my WA22.

How do you find the Nighthawks with the WA22, I love them on this. In fact, I've switched from Audeze LCD-2 Closed, XCs, and X.

Nighthawks are great with WA22.
My go to is Aeon 2 Open, but every once and a while I reach for the Hawks. I have a soft spot for them.
All my HP's play nice with WA22 with one exception - Meze 99. Meze gets a buzz through them. So I use as portable only.

Man I love my WA-22 2nd Gen. Been listening to it for the past week and a half with Arya Stealth, but just decided to break out the Susvara. It does an admirable job, but now I'm hooked on wanting the WA-33 (and the higher output) haha.

And down into the rabbit hole head first I go. I have a bunch of interesting tubes on the way for the WA-22 before upgrading though. Really excited to do some tube-rolling and see what's possible.

It's genuinely amazing how well Arya scales with this amp. I'd choose Arya Stealth with the WA-22 over Susvara with a THX amp (SMSL, Topping) every time. It's that good.

Susvara on tubes is a whole other experience though. So good.

Do any different tubes make a significant difference in output power/wattage? If so, any idea how much?

In the power tube end of things for the WA22 the 5998 421A offer more output power. Sadly these tubes are incredibly expensive, but I think some on here can chime in and maybe suggest some more reasonably priced alternatives.

Good to know. Any idea if it's a lot, or just a little bit? I'm guessing it doesn't double or triple the power or anything crazy?
