Hi,

I am looking to reterminate my ATH-M50 headphones from 3.5mm TRS to 2.5mm TRRS. It is already modded for dual entry with a Cardas quadlink cable.

I am wondering how the TRRS should be wired.

I have seen a FiiO and A&K standard.

And I have also seen.

Which one is right? I want to be able to use adapters for 4.4mm pentacon and 3.5mm TRS and have it work with a Hiby player.

The top one is correct for the player end. Virtually all 2.5mm trrs are like that.

The bottom one is not applicable to the player end for 2.5mm. It's more for 3.5mm hifiman player. It will also work for 2.5mm hd598 on headphone end.
