Hey folks,
 
So I've just become interested in general cabling upgrades and recabling headphones.\
 
My budget is not more than 50-60% of the cost of whatever headphone I'm recabling.  Example I got my Hifiman 400s for about $250 - don't want to spent more than about $125 for cables.
 
CAVEAT - I'm not looking to start another discussion on whether cables make a difference.
Let's all assume if you post here you do believe they do. 
 
I'm basing this on my experience with the Wireworld pulse.  For $42 including shipping it was definitely worth it.
I purchased a simple 3.5mm to 3.5mm to connect my portable DAC to my Cayin C5 amp and the difference was palpable.
I reviewed on it this site.
 
I'm curious about people's thoughts about cabling, and more specifically economical cabling.  I know the DIY route is probably the way to go.
I have a Canare starquad headphone extension and they do fine by me.  But I'm interested in increased soundstage, bass response and details without becoming brittle...
