Wireless RF Switch?

Some local places that sell gate openers might have that radio part you are looking for, but don't expect the part to be cheap since these devices are low volume. I would guess around $100 for a non code rolling model and the shortest range.

Probably a ghetto way would be to scavenge the parts from an RC car or something. It wouldn't have any code protection, but you never mentioned that as a requirement either. I guess it would just be a matter of taking the car itself apart, ripping out the wires attached to the motor, and instead hooking it up to a relay. For the remote, find the wires to the switch and there you go.

bg4522: Actually, that's what I have in place right now, and I'm looking for something that will only be on as long as the transmitter's switch is pressed. In that one, you have to press one to connect, and press the other to disconnect.

Rix2357: Good idea, I'll look for my old cars... probably won't be the right frequency, though
