So my friend Andrew came to me with a conundrum: he wants wireless, in-ear headphones for his iPod.

The only ones I could think of were the Ety8's and these Panasonic's, which are both a bit out of his price range.

Can anyone find any cheaper that have an included and/or available iPod dongle? I know there's a certain amount of disinterest in wireless headphones around here, but I figure someone has to know them pretty well...

There are professional audio transmitters and receivers made for IEM systems for bands. Shure, Sennheiser etc make them. Check your local music store for info. You may be able to pick up the transmitter /receiver used or on ebay for cheap. Plug in your favorite wired IEMs to the receiver and away you go.

Sennheiser just introduced a non professional, ie audiophile as opposed to performer line of wireless IEMs. They're pretty expensive.
