Hey what's the best way to twist 2 wires so that the twist remains constant throughout the wire? Whenever I try, there are always area where the twists are much more concentrated than others.

You make a bunch more than you need. Start with at least 10
feet of each wire. Tie to door knob or other secure place.
Get out a variable speed power drill. Start at the other end
chuck the wires in and keep it tight and spin away. The wire
length will shrink dramatically so have the drill on an extention cord.

Oh, cool. I think I tried that before, but the wires got bunched up, maybe the tension was too low.
