Windows users, what internet browser do you use?

I had used Firefox for quite a long time (so far back that I forget the name they were using for version 0.5), but about 2 months ago it started crashing for no particular reason whatsoever. So, I switched to Opera 9 (then in beta). It's Firefox with polish and speed, and without extensions or absurd memory usage. I'll occasionally fire up Firefox to use the few sites that Opera can't handle (Citibank and, oddly enough, one site's page for posting blogs), but that's it.

I've tried 'em all.

The past few years I've been using firefox and it's nice. Since moving to korea I've started using their subway and bus sites which are not firefox friendly (they use active x). It seems almost all korean sites i've encountered do not work in firefox. I tried IE7 and it's pretty sweet. I'm using it full time now, except at work where I don't have a legit install of windows so I can't install it.

Two good things about Firefox:

1. A thriving modder community -- builds optimised for specific processors and operating systems.

2. The customisation possible by modifying .js and chrome files (I heard Opera allows similar things though)

The memory bug should much less severe in Firefox 2.0 (coming to beta real soon now) than in 1.5.

Point well taken--that's why I evaluated the other browsers.

Some sites just wouldn't work properly for me on Opera, and for me, it's just too much of a hassle to go back and forth when I need to use IE for some business work in any case.

I said other:
I use "Maxthon", a (free) tabbed browser I've been using for years since it's former incarnation when it was known as "MyIE2".

I have tried others, used Firefox for quite a while, but during a recent system reinstall I went back to Maxthon.

Maxthon has the features I most need and want including good popup protection. Most important, it runs best for me compared to others I have used.

Although I still find that a lot of websites that have been adjusted to work with Firefox don't work that well with Opera. Funny just how lazy some web developers are. I mean, since your going to change it to work with another browser might as well make it work with all browsers and use correct standards. But seems like most people prefer cutting corners or using proprietary technology.

Ditto everything you said. Opera is my browser of choice. Although I have IE 7 installed for tricky sites. I wish everything didn't require windows media player, as I refuse to install it and becuase of that there are tons of videos I can't watch online.

Firefox. I like it more than IE. Haven't tried Opera yet, though.
