Hi All,

I need some assistance here please to help me with what method can I use so to play Bluray audio ?

This is the Bluray that is working fine Video/Audio:

Video: MPEG2 Video 1920x1080 23.976fps [V: mpeg2 main, yuv420p, 1920x1080]
Audio: 48000Hz stereo 1536kbps [A: English [eng] (pcm_bluray, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 1536 kb/s)]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 448 kb/s)]

This is the Bluray that is not working Video/Audio:

Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 29.97fps [V: h264 high L4.1, yuv420p, 1920x1080]
Audio: DTS 48000Hz stereo 1536kbps [A: English [eng] (dts-hd ma, 48000 Hz, stereo)]
Audio: DTS 48000Hz 6ch 4608kbps [A: English [eng] (dts-hd ma, 48000 Hz, 5.1)]

The video works normal but not the audio.

Thanks

Do you still have the original bluray discs?

If you do, i would use make makemkv to rip the disc with the FLAC setting and then load it in to foobar2000 and then split by chapters.

If you don't, you'll need to look in to eac3to for converting the DTSHD to a more compatible format (flac or Wav).

@Duck,

Luckily no, I borrowed from my friend, Somehow it happens to me when playing Bluray files under the .MKV format too not just the disc format.

What is EAC3 ?

EAC3TO is a command line tool that will allow you to convert the audio to something more usable.

What software are you using for playback?

@Duck

I'm using Media Player Classic that is part of KLite Codec pack.

ok, for some reason, VLC Player can play it well.... ?

so I'm confused as to why this happens on both WIndows Media Player and KLite codec MPLayer Classic.

Probably due to the kLite codec pack not supporting the format.

VLC and MPC-HE have internal support for these formats and don't use the KLite codec pack.

I personally would choose VLC or MPC-HE over a codec pack any day.

ok, problem sorted after I use VLC, it's all working just fine.

MPC HE the latest version downloaded yesterday also didn't work either.
