Question on what the right settings are for Windows 10 sample rates.
So in Control Panel sound settings the default sample rate is typically 48khz. I'm using an external audio interface (Motu) to route audio to my speakers or headphones, and it's setup as the primary audio device in windows. The Motu I can also set to its own internal sample rate (currently at 96khz, can go up to 192khz).
Now, when I play back audio in foobar2000, what sample rate will it actually play at (what do I hear through my speakers)? Sample rate of the source file (ie 44.1khz/16bit)? Upsampled to 48khz because of windows setting? Or upsampled to 96khz because of Motu internal clock?
How can I ensure that it always plays at the source file sample rate?
