When I play music the spectrogram is laggy but when I open something else like Chrome or any other program it works perfectly; immediate, quick, and smooth representation of what's currently playing.
Anyone else have this problem?

i have lots of problem with winamp,even though i love it , just for the replay gain feature
It does not detect new media ,even i've selected it in local media settings.
don'r know if its due ti windows 8.

Winamp is not the only mediaplayer with replaygain. Foobar and Mediamonkey have it and a few others too.

Agreed. Lots of choices

I have been experimenting with MusicBee on my laptop. Another good media player alternative.

What I used to like about replaygain in Winamp was that it had an option to allow for editing of the replaygain setting. If it set it too loud or too soft I could adjust it to my liking but the more recent version of foobar I have now has removed that option for some reason.
