Winamp is um.. terrible?

I tried the MAD decoder plugin and liked it, but it was very unstable. My machine is pretty rock solid, runs 8h a day for weeks without a reboot and WinAMP never crashed for me. But with MAD it locks up up every 5-10 songs and often while dragging the position indicator ;-(
