win xp sp2 + Foobar + Apogee Mini DAC = Drive me nuts!!!!!!

Hi,

Just received my mini dac yesterday....and it drive me nuts!!!!!

I've tried ver.9.0 + foobar asio ver 1.1 & 1.2. foobar ver.9.1 + foobar asio 1.1 & 1.2..... NO GO!!!!

i am still getting the popping and clicking sound all the time.the song i play occasionally stop then i will have to reboot or the foobar won't play any song at all.....

please help me,i have spent hours and still couldn't get it works right!!!

Most likely you haven't installed the drivers that you can download from Apogee properly. When there is no sound coming out of your computer if the Mini-DAC says it is receiving a 48khz signal, it is using the windows driver instead of the Mini-DAC driver.

believe it or not, try to unplug your usb.
restart your computer.
plug the usb again but different spot. better still if your monitor have a usb port, plug it there.

it solve my problem. i mocked around the whole day and the solutions is that easy. provided your driver works fine. i just use usb-audio driver from windows and then on foobar, output it to asio.
