WillSound MK150 MMCX

Much deserved WillSound name earbuds. An complete all rounder.

People who like the MK2 unit by willy, surely love the sound on this one. Well let me take a leap and say that everyone will love this one. It's sooo good.

MX500 shell with MMCX input. With 150 ohm driver unit.

Very convenient for change to good quality cables.

Easily drivable by any source but the volume is low on phones and even on some my btr3

But on q1mk2 and ifi the volume is at 70%. And it seems loud enough.

Items used :

Oneplus 5t

Tidal

IFI iDSD LE

Cable used Yinzoo 6 core silver copper cable with MMCX interface.

Build of wire is pretty solid.

Effect on sound quality is debatable.

Sound:

Very enjoyable and non analytical sound.

So not neutral but also not V shaped. Just good.

Lows:

Good amount of punch and full body bass. Yet not an overkill. Right amount. As much as needed in any song that demands it.

Good quality sub bass and doesn't bleeds into mids. Different instruments in these spectrum can be easily differentiated.

Mids:

Vocals lover you will experience what a non neutral earphones can deliver.

Very good for vocals, mids are a bit forward and emphasized

Male vocals seems thick and full

Female vocals are very lively and melodious. No kidding.

Instrumental separation and imaging and sound stage

Instrumental separation is at par with good quality IEMsactually entire feel is like a good quality and airy IEMs

And so the sound stage not very wide but quite good to enjoy instrumental songs of jazz and country blues.

Highs:

Very well extended and but forward.

Every thing is very clear the cymbals the snares and the female vocals are to die for.

Not at all sibilant. Good clean audio output

I'm in the song

As long as you love me by Backstreet Boys.

The drum sound from the midi controller I suppose, sounds too good. And vocals very clear and forward. Even the keyboard and the guitar sound very neat and refined.

As I said it's an overall perfomer

In song "No man's Land - by the Pineapple Thief. The guitar strings are very clean and enjoyable. The treble seems well extended and slightly forward but not sibilant. The male vocals seem quite forward full bodied and clear you could say the mids are emphasized. No hiss or any kind of noise observed in the quite parts of the song. Bass is punchy for the drums and the decay on the bass guitar is in good amount. Very enjoyable.

So as I said it's quite the performance from these buds brilliant. I would say it gives good competition to buds under 40-60 $

Priced at around 40$ for normal wires and 65$ for 8 core plus shipping and taxes.

My recommendation

If you are a buds lover then you should definitely have one in you collection. It's a keeper.
