I was thinking of getting two AV-710 cards in my rig and dedicating one to my home stereo and one to my PC speaker system. Want to use the optical on one card for the home stereo and the Wolfson DAC for my Klipsch system. Would this be possible or is anyone doing this?

It's possible, at least with 2 different cards. I'm not too sure about twins. If it does work with twins, you will have to switch which card is being used whenever you want to change from headphones to speakers or visa-versa.
