Will this decrease my headphones sound quality?

Hey fi'ers.
I've got this cable from ebay:

Very solid, very fine made. 

I want to connect it to my STX II headphones\amp out.
Will it decrease my phones sound quality?

Absolutely. It's a mono cable, so even if it works, you'll only hear one channel.

Should be fine and not cause any noticeable sound quality degradation as long as its a properly built cable. Personally, I try to avoid long extensions like that but I'm sure you are ordering this out of necessity. Just make sure they have an easy return policy in case you don't like it for any reason.

Thank you for your comments :)

About the cable - It was ordered so I can plug it to my sound card on my table, and switch headphones oftenly. 
As for the size, I didn't found a shorter high-quality one.
