Be careful. In the 50s - 60s, scientist also found that they could kill cancer cells. They tried it on people and it was a 100% success rate. What they didn't realise was the drug also killed all the other bacteria in the body which we need to function. After a few weeks, these people developed other diseases like heart problems and were vulnerable to other illnesses like flu and even the common cold was deadly to them. So in the end, the people who tried the drug all died from other illnesses. The drug is banned. I forgot what its called.

The best strategy is still caution and restrain.

Assuming continued positive test results in animal and eventual human trials, Porter estimates it could be three to seven years before the compound is available by prescription. That transition could be accelerated, however, if the Food and Drug Administration should decide to fast-track the drug.

Not just yet.

This is a pump-and-dump scam for an OTC penny stock. If you search PubMed, there aren't any papers referring to the family of compounds supposedly pioneered by the penny stock company involved in the research. Stay away from this one.

You know, as harsh as that comment was (I laughed), it seems too true. Medical advancement here in the states (or Western civilization) seems to make people less frightened of getting HIV and they don't use protection as they should.

=\

Now, in the third world countries like Africa, they're still trying to teach people that condoms aren't "the devil", but can save your life.

A lot of people in Africa don't wear condoms when they already have AIDS because their logic tells them that they need to sleep with someone clean to be clean...hence it spreads further and further...

That is some of the most ridiculous, screwed-up, backwards logic I've ever heard!

Um yes there are..

Cationic steroid antibiotic research seems to go back to 2002...

"Cationic steroid antibiotics demonstrate DNA delivery properties" is available full text thru Elsevier ScienceDirect

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...arch&DB=pubmed
use "cationic steroid antibiotics" as search term

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Citation

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...=pubmed_DocSum

I would not comment on the quality of the research, not my field, and it is a new company formed through a merger and its major expertise seems to be in topical creams, however the "White Coats" credited with the CSA research do "seem" to be legit researchers.
