Will these cheapos benefit from burn-in? And for how long?

Not sure if I noticed any improvement with the SHE3580 -- it sounded good right out the box. It will burn-in while you listen to it. Can't help with the GR99.

Yeah, the GR99 really does suffer some changes after burn-in. To the good 
The bass gets more controlled, there appears little sparkle (as right out the box it is almost absent) and the soundstages widens for about 20-40%.
