Well, I apologize if this has already been covered, but I saw some pics from the latest head-fi meet on the front page and I noticed that the UE11s were fitted with universal tips. Was this purely a promotional thing set up by UE so more people could try them out, or is it something currently in the works? Thanks!

It is my belief that UE won't be making a universal UE11. Some people feel the Triple Fis are a universal 10s. Being that I own both, I can say they are certainly not. They don't sound alike at all, even if they are both 3 drivers.

Will UE eventually make a 4 driver universal....probably, but not for at least a year or two being that they just released the triple fis to the mainstream.

can you guys imagine the size of universal ue11's the triple fi's are large but dang! if these get developed they need to work on bringing size down first but i doubt we will see universal ue 11's for some time
