I've got some ATH AD1000's I want to use for production because I'm hoping it will give me a more 'accurate' response to the HD202s currently being used. Though I bought the HD202s recently because I am paranoid about damaging the headponess but while I EQ my tracks to the way I want them on the headphones, listening to it on other speakers they are off... Way off.
I can see them getting them damaged while programing raw dirty synth patches and compressing beats that are clipping. I know of proper 'flat response' headphones that a designed for this purpose but I am out of cash.
I'm using ableton live as my host.
cheers
