Hey guys,

I'm going to be purchasing a Gilmore V2 and eventually a Philips 963SA, but what I am wondering, is if this amp will totally outclass my current NS500V?

Any Gilmore V.1 user currently using a 500v?

Haven't heard the gilmore, but *from what I read* I assume it's worth its asking price. You are probably getting into the area where better amps start to make an appreciable difference, but you had to spend, what $400-$500 to get there. Hope you enjoy it and realize that if you do decide to upgrade your source (which certainly isn't a "bad" source for a budget player), the gilmore should be able to keep up with the upgrade. So, no I don't think the Gilmore is "too good" for the Sony, but as I stated, I personally haven't heard either.
